Come to the quaint town of Mount Dora for a run filled with tree lined vistas of waterfront neighborhoods and lake-hugging roadways. Catch the rising sun through the gracefully swaying Spanish moss and watch the breeze dapple the lake’s surface with flashes of sunlight. The gentle rolling hills give this course a uniqueness of its own. From the start to finish, you'’ll remember the Mount Dora Half Marathon and 5K as the event you will not want to miss.

Commemorate the true story of the Barefoot Mailman, who delivered mail on foot along the beach from Palm Beach to Miami from 1885-1892.  Make your own history where the Barefoot Mailman walked, racing either barefoot or "shod"--your choice.  Run the 5-kilometer or 10-kilometer race on the sand at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park (formerly John U. Lloyd State Park) in Dania Beach.  Race day is the Sunday before Christmas, December 22nd.  Don't forget to bring your out-of-town family, too!
