Details:

Runners, walkers and paddleboard enthusiasts can test their skills and celebrate Ernest Hemingway’s sporting lifestyle by joining us in the Conch Republic on July 23, 2022 during the in-person Hemingway 5k Sunset Run/Walk and Paddleboard Race! The athletic challenges are part of Hemingway Days, a six-day commemoration of the life and work of the author who lived and wrote in Key West for most of the 1930s.

You can run the 5K Sunset Run or Paddle 3 miles in the gorgeous waters off of our magical island; or you can do both and save on your combined registration!

For 2022, we return to the original course!  All participants (runners and paddle boarders)  will start and finish at the iconic Southernmost Point buoy!  And...if all goes well, we plan to also return to the epic after party festivities that we are known for!

COVID-19 Info:

As we open registration, we remain very aware of the frequent changes in rules around the ongoing pandemic.  With 11+ months before event day, we fully expect that 2022 will be a return to normal (or very close to 'normal').  However, we are offering a virtual option of both events again for 2022.  If for whatever reason you feel more comfortable competing where you are or on your own schedule, please take advantage of the virtual options.  Additionally, should conditions change and we need to change our plans, all in-person registrations will automatically be transferred to the virtual option.  Again; we don't expect this, but these are very crazy times and we want to make sure everyone is safe.
