Superintendent’s 5K Challenge: Race for Education

The 7th Annual Superintendent’s 5K Challenge is a Run/Walk promoting health and wellness in our community. Participants include parents, children, teachers, and administrators representing over 200 public schools. All proceeds benefit the participating schools and groundbreaking school district initiatives.

The Superintendent’s 5K is designed to help our schools receive funds for their fundraising efforts. Eighty percent (80%) of the proceeds received from registration fees are given directly back to participating schools.

Since 2008, FNEI has raised over $164,000 for schools in the Superintendent’s 5K Challenge: Race for Education. At our 2021 Race for Education, we were joined by over 2,400 runners and raised over $40,000 for M-DCPS schools. With your help we can make the 2022 event the best one yet!
