The UPS 5K Benefiting the United Way of Miami-Dade takes participants through the beautiful city of Coral Gables and will run on our new scenic course. The race still starts and ends at the City of Coral Gables Historic City Hall at a festive post-race party at Merrick Park. The park is across the street from City Hall at the intersection of Le Jeune Road and Miracle Mile.

AMENITIES

Pre-race warm up, massages, music, food, and for the first the first 1,500 registrants – an awesome custom technical T-shirt. Plus finisher medals!

 

RACE DAY PARKING

Parking fees can be paid using the Paybyphone app.

Curbside or on-street parking fees are enforced 9am to midnight. Rates range from $1.00 per hour to $2.50 per hour.

Garage parking fees are enforced 24/7. The nearest garage is on Andalusia just east of Lejeune. There is a 2nd garage on Andalusia about a block further east.
Garages Hourly Rates 

• $1 per 40 minutes or any fraction thereof
• $2 per 40 minutes after hour 4 to a maximum of $15
• Lost Ticket $15.00

EXCHANGES, TRANSFER, & REFUND POLICY

Absolutely no exchanges, or transfers. Refunds will be given only for the reason listed in the CANCELLATION POLICY below.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Event is covered by cancellation insurance provided by Adventure Advocates which will ensure participants receive full refunds of their entry fees in the case that Race Management has to cancel the event for any of these reasons:

Adverse weather – means any adverse weather that involved conditions that posed a serious threat to the safety of those individuals attending or setting up the insured event or made it physically impossible to use the venue due to physical damage of the venue or complete inaccessibility to the venue. 

Natural Catastrophe – means earthquake, tsunami, flood, volcanic eruption, hurricane, tornado, forest fire and/or any other extraordinary meteorological event causing widespread damage. 

Terrorism – means an act or series of acts, including the use of force or violence, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organization(s), committed for political, religious or ideological purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public in fear for such purposes. Notwithstanding the forgoing, this does not cover any loss, cost or expense directly or indirectly arising out of, contributed to or caused by, or resulting from or in connection with: 1. Any fear of a potential act of terrorism; 2. Any threat of an act of terrorism, except that this policy is extended to include loss or damage as a result of an threat of an act of terrorism in which such threat results in a public safety civil authority issuing a written order resulting in the inability to hold the insured event as scheduled; or 3. Any act of terrorism involving a nuclear weapon or device or the emission, discharge, dispersal, release or escape of any chemical or biological agent. 

Please note that refunds will not be provided should the Event be canceled once it has started. Refunds will also not be provided if the event is rescheduled to take place within 90 days of the original commencement date of the Event. Should the Event be canceled for any other reason than explicitly stated above, no refunds will be given.

HEAT WARNING

Temperature/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluids(non-alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms (Dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light colored clothing.
